Samaritan's Purse Church Partnership Programme

Connecting the Global Body of Christsamaritans purse

We live in unprecedented times for the Global Church. What was once thought impossible or impractical - for a church in the UK to have a meaningful relationship with a church in the Two Thirds World - is now more than possible.

RR Swa Mon Edit 40It isn't just the arrival of digital communication and direct transportation in some of the far-flung places of the world that has made this possible. Something has also shifted in the way we 'mission agencies' view our role. We are increasingly turning our focus to working with and building up local churches - not just local projects - to bring the Gospel in words and actions to hurting people in our world.

For us here at Samaritan's Purse, that means exploring what the words of Paul in Romans 12:5 mean for us today: "So in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all others."

How can we make meaningful connections between different parts of the Body of Christ around the world? How can members of this Body draw encouragement and wisdom from each other as they seek to be God's hands and feet where they are?

That is what our Church Partnership Programme is all about - connecting the body of Christ together to see God's mission fulfilled, both here in the UK and around the world.

So imagine your church connecting with a church in Africa - growing together, learning from each other, supporting each other as you both reach out to your local community. Or imagine starting a relationship with a church-based project in Central Asia - your church reaching addressing needs where you live and your partner project tackling issues like HIV and AIDS or access to clean water where they are.

As this is all about relationship, things like financial support, lines of communication, trips and visits, and the period of commitment can all be worked out with Samaritan's Purse - who serve as a bridge between the two partners, ensuring that fit is right and that the relationship flourishes.

We would love to meet with you and explore together what being part of the Global Body of Christ looks like for your church.
